Yes, I’m still alive!

My last post was written WAY back in May. I’ve been buried in work. Some readers know what I do for a living, but I’d rather not reveal it since it’s a public-facing position. My workload doubled from 2023 to 2024, and doubled again from 2024 to 2025. While it hasn’t doubled from last year to this year, it has increased by about 40%.

Pair that with travel this summer and house projects, and you have the perfect recipe to shove the blog to the back burner.

My YouTube Channel has suffered as well.

My work has recently slowed down, but it’s temporary, and I’m using the slowdown to catch up on a few things.

I am not sure when I will go into full-time retirement, but it is something that I’ve been thinking about, especially since I turned 62.

Anyway…..

I have two announcements to make.

First, I have refunded all donations to this blog back to January 2026. While I am thankful for your support, I can’t, in good conscience, accept any donations because of my lack of output. No way.

Second, I have cancelled all monthly donation subscriptions for the same reason.

It may take a few days for the refunds to be processed. If you have any issues, please let me know.

I have recently learned of a way to write blog posts through a WordPress/Jetpack app on my iPhone. Might this help my blog efforts? We shall see!
