I know that it’s been a while since I’ve done a blog post. It’s been a busy few months. For one thing, the website has been going through a re-design, complete with a new logo that I hope reflects my martial arts business personality. More importantly, my wife and I had to prepare for a move into my mother in law’s house. That meant a lot of purging and organizing.

Quick note: we are experiencing some issues in migrating my old blog posts over to the newly redesigned website. Stay tuned! If it doesn’t work out, so be it! If it does work out, great!

We just moved into the house a week ago and we are a long way from being finished. I’ve had to put my private lessons on hold for the time being. My apologies to all my private clients. I hope to get back into the swing of things soon!

Once things get settled down soon, I will blog on a more regular basis. I will probably start with two posts a month and go from there.

Anyway, as a part of the move, we had to purge items that we no longer needed or are using. In a way, this is similar to stripping the martial arts down to its essence and getting rid of useless techniques and concepts. Having recently turned 55, my mindset has turned increasingly to evaluating the functionality of all aspects of what I teach. I’ll be discussing this topic in the future.

What topics would you like me to cover in future blog posts? I’m open to suggestions!
