Earlier this month, I published a post entitled “Under Lockdown.” I have to confess that it was a thought exercise and I honestly did not think we would be in the situation we are in today. Since that post, Ontario has imposed social distancing and “locked down” the province for 14 days. Given the current case numbers, I would not be surprised if it is extended. We shall see.

I followed my original post’s advice and kept myself busy. I have recognized that I need to change things up from day to day or I will get bored out of my mind. One day, I’ll do Modern Arnis anyos. The next day, I’ll do my Chung Do Kwan TKD katas. The next day, I’ll do the stairs (with the cranky right hip) to keep my legs strong. I have kept myself busy with other activities, such as yard work.

For instance, I have filmed and edited solo tutorials focusing on Modern Arnis. That helps to fill the time and keep me busy. I aim to publish one video per day during the “workweek.” We’ll see if I can pull that off. The main thing is not to run out of ideas for solo training tips. Ack!

Down below are the first four that I’ve done. Take advantage of these videos during the lockdown.

The first one covered the 12 angles of attack.

The video below covered the “traditionals”, as the late Professor Remy A. Presas called them.

The titles of the next two are self-explanatory. 🙂

Have fun watching them. I hope that you find them useful.

Stay safe!
